Saturday School

Saturday mornings are for many the most productive time of the week. Pupils are rested, the school week is behind them, and three uninterrupted hours can sometimes do more than two ninety-minute sessions on weekdays.

Newbury Study Hall runs Saturday-morning tuition from 09:30 to 12:30 during local school term times.

How it works

  • Saturdays, 09:30–12:30
  • Three hours of tuition per subject
  • Thirty hours per ten-week term per subject
  • Small groups of 3–4 (max 8)
  • £1,200 per subject per term (£40 per hour)
  • Pupils may attend one subject or several across consecutive Saturdays

Who it suits

  • Pupils whose weekday afternoons are committed to sport, music or other activities
  • Pupils preferring one substantial session per week to two shorter ones
  • Pupils travelling from outside Newbury for whom a single Saturday journey is more workable than midweek travel
  • Year 11 and Year 13 pupils whose preparation for summer examinations benefits from the extended session length

Subjects

All subjects taught at Newbury Study Hall are available on Saturday mornings: Maths, Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics at GCSE, and the corresponding subjects at A-level.
